Hardcat in the news: Australian Synchrotron Click here for full story 2009-06-02 'The Australian' newspaper today ran a feature story on the Australian Synchrotron's use of Hardcat as a maintenance management system. The report details how the Hardcat database has enabled the Synchrotron to achieve and exceed its required availability targets, and through analysis of Hardcat reporting identify asset components that are defective and require replacement. Hardcat and the future of technology in Facilities Maintenance 2009-06-01 Hardcat's North American Group Executive Mr Tom Vogt has recently contributed to a paper, 'The Future of Technology in Facilities Maintenance', published by Lowes Commercial Services. “Many facility managers are dealing with reduced budgets and have multiple pressing priorities,” says Tom of the challenges facing facility maintenance in the current economic climate. “[They] have a fiduciary responsibility to manage their facilities in a cost effective manner.” Click here to read the paper in full.

Hardcat goes to Iran in major Telco roll-out Rodney Dalton (right) and new Hardcat users at Irancell 2009-05-18 Hardcat's Rodney Dalton has been in Tehran training and assisting Hardcat client MTN Irancell in rolling out additional modules for their Hardcat Asset Management solution. Hardcat has been utilised for asset management by telecommunications giant MTN since 2002 when the company's Nigerian operations implemented Hardcat. Since that time, MTN has been a major success story in the African and Middle East Regions, and at the time of the Hardcat visit to Iran, the company had just passed the 100 million total subscriber mark. MTN Irancell had originally implemented Hardcat in 2006 mainly for financial asset control but is now expanding it to include planned and ad-hoc/reactive maintenance management, and tracking inventories of spare parts.

Hardcat rolls out at City of North Las Vegas Police Department 2009-04-13 The City of North Las Vegas Police Department (one of the largest in North America) went live on 17 March 2009 with its new Hardcat Asset Management Software to manage all of its office issued equipment including weapons, radios, police vehicles, badges, uniforms and a multitude of other important assets. The goal was to automate an old paper-based maintenance system to save time and money. What’s more, in an exciting new development Hardcat’s asset management software was coupled with Topaz e-signature hardware to capture Officer signatures on all newly issued equipment.
