ASSET MANAGEMENT
 

The asset management component of the Hardcat suite of products allows a simple yet powerful tool to control your asset base. The asset management is a pivotal component allowing the three other major disciplines, E-Procurement, Help Desk and Preventative Maintenance to be integrated simply when and if the client elects to install these disciplines as well.

The asset management component supplies the back bone for the other major disciplines, such as Locations, Cost Centres, People, Suppliers, Asset Types etc.

Hardcat can provide your organization with a comprehensive, enterprise wide asset management software solution that allow assets to be managed throughout the life cycle process.

Hardcat achieves this by being able to record and manage asset transactions in a format that is user friendly, customizable and readily promotes information exchange between internal and external stakeholders.

AUTO DISCOVERY

BARCODING

Hardcat supplies commercially printed barcodes in a variety of different materials depending upon your requirements. Options include Laminated, Plastic, Aluminum or Steel.

RFID

Hardcat has established a number of partnerships in the emerging field of RFID. Hardcat will ensure that you are aware of any pitfalls and guide you to a solution that suites your requirements.

DEPRECIATION

Hardcat allows the user to determine the depreciation schedules for their asset base. Hardcat caters for unlimited depreciation views, Book, Tax and another 9,997 user definable configurations.

LEASE CONTROL

Hardcat allows control of assets whether they are owned, leased, rented or any other classification, all in the one system. Hardcat will alert the user prior to lease expiry and prevent the client being stuck with a lease roll-over that is not required.

BUDGET CONTROL

Hardcat allows the user to set up budget control that is tied directly into the purchasing module. This budget control will prevent unauthorized purchases as well as highlighting budget excesses.

STOCK CONTROL

Hardcat allows the control of stock (inventory) items, such as stationary, fuel, printer toner etc. The stock module lets the user know what's in stock as well as where it is located. The stock module will also alert the user when stock levels are low as well as automatically order more if so required.

PURCHASING

Hardcat produces purchase orders for Assets, Stock or Services. These goods are automatically updated into the asset register upon receipt of the goods.

REPORT GENERATOR

Hardcat has a standard in-built report generator which provides a comprehensive query facility, allowing an individual user to target particular groups for reporting purposes.

WEB INTERFACE

Hardcat supplies a standard web interface which allows users to access Hardcat via a web browser. These users require no training in Hardcat and have their access determined by the Hardcat administrator.

EMAIL

Hardcat supports all popular email formats on the market. All reports within Hardcat can be emailed to persons, or groups of people requiring the report in either text format or HTML.

PDA

Hardcat supports both Pocket PC as well as CE. Asset management functions written for the PDA in the Asset Manager, are Data Capture, Audit, Stock Audit, Goods Receivables.

EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS

Hardcat has its own API (Application Program Interface) which allows direct access to other systems. A simple example of this is MS Active Directory.
