Hardcat on your iPad

We’ve been investigating the new Apple iPad as an extra candidate for our “Supported Platforms” list for our forthcoming release of Hardcat, but at least one of our customers has beaten us to it!

The customer, a major multinational in the defence and aerospace industries, has rolled out the current HardcatWeb application onto a fleet of iPads for asset and maintenance management in the field. The combination of the iPad’s portability and ease of touch-screen control together with HardcatWeb’s intuitive user interface, has allowed maintenance staff to enjoy a vastly more productive solution for recording job activities and asset inspections.

Hardcat is currently working on an app that will give you the capabilities of CatScan on an iPhone. At the moment CatScan is used solely on a barcode reader so having it on an iPhone will be a good cost saving option for those users that already have iPhones.
