"Hardcat in Paradise" -  Reethi Rah Resort implements Hardcat

Pictured on site at Reethi Rah are Mr Mohamed Razeen, Managing Director of ATA Investments, and Mr Rodney Dalton, Technical Director, of Hardcat Pty. Ltd.

9th October, 2003: Hardcat has been recently installed to aid in the reconstruction of the Reethi Rah Resort located in the Maldives, a spectacular island archipelago located in the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean and a favourite holiday destination for many.

The resort is currently undergoing a complete renovation and the Hardcat system was chosen as part of a two-phase project to initially control stock and supplies used in the reconstruction and at the completion of that phase, to hand over to the Resort Management a complete Asset Management solution containing all fixed assets on the resort.

The old resort was closed to the public in January this year and work commenced to reclaim land, increasing its size fivefold. Once completed, planting of vegetation will occur to assist in land stabilisation and construction of the new luxury resort will commence. The 5 star resort is to be opened in October 2004.

The sale of Hardcat to the Reethi Rah Resort was made by ATA Investments Pvt. Ltd., our reseller located in Male, Maldives. There has been considerable interest in Hardcat by organisations in the Maldives since ATA Investments hosted a seminar featuring Hardcat's Senior Account Manager Ms Leanne Cluley in October 2002.

California's Chukchansi Gold Casino bets on Hardcat!

4th August 2003: The new Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino in California, USA doesn't gamble with proper fixed asset management. They have recognised its critical importance from the outset and have implemented Hardcat to track all new assets as they are delivered to this exciting new resort.

Hardcat's Senior Account Manager Ms Leanne Cluley praised the proactive approach the casino has taken to fixed asset management. "Generally people leave implementing an asset management system until it is almost too late, and this creates extra work in trying to identify existing asset items and reconcile the asset register,"  said Ms Cluley. "Whereas Chukchansi Gold have done the right thing and implemented Hardcat right at the start, so as assets are acquired they are immediately being controlled by the Hardcat system."

Other US organisations to purchase Hardcat in recent weeks include the Hawaii Department of Education and Ohio's Lake Hospital System Inc.

Hardcat partners with Attest Systems for high-powered IT asset management with integrated auto-discovery tools

31st March, 2003 Attest Systems, Inc., a leader in providing IT asset and software discovery tools, has signed a joint development agreement with Hardcat Pty Ltd that will seamlessly transfer the valuable IT asset information (such as installed RAM, hard disk, CPU etc) automatically detected by Attest's GASP auto-discovery tool into the corresponding asset record in Hardcat’s asset management system. The Attest GASP software can also track installed software versions, operating system, unauthorised file types, and much more!

“Our customers asked for the additional functionality of an auto discovery tool,” said Dan Drum, Hardcat Managing Director. “After thoroughly researching the marketplace, we selected Attest and their GASP program to partner with. Of the 10 or so products we surveyed in detail, GASP was clearly the ‘best of breed.’ The integration of Hardcat and GASP provides a complete solution that is available to all industry sectors.”

“The interface with Hardcat will provide GASP users with help desk, purchasing, scheduled maintenance, bar coding, stock control, depreciation and many other asset management functions,” said Herbert M. Gottlieb, CEO and founder of Attest. “Hardcat is the leader in asset management and the interface with GASP makes perfect sense.

“Businesses can now benefit from the ease of use and accuracy of GASP and get additional asset management functions from Hardcat,” Gottlieb added. “Other tools on the market don’t have all these functions and features combined in one easy-to-use program.”

Update: 8th August, 2003 Hardcat has announced that the new interface is available with the release of Hardcat version 3.23B-Build 215. Hardcat invites new and existing customers to contact the Hardcat office for more details on the benefits of using GASP in conjunction with Hardcat.

Hardcat "tracks the tracks" at Victorian Department of Infrastructure

1st March 2003: Hardcat has recently won a major contract (in conjunction with Systems Integrator SolNet and GIS solution provider Pyxis) to supply the Department of Infrastructure in Victoria, Australia with a fixed asset management solution for asset tracking the vast network of rail and tram tracks, associated signalling, stations, overhead catenary, bridges, earthworks and rail crossings that the Department is responsible for.

Hardcat is no stranger to rail asset management. It was the solution chosen by the former British Rail NSE when that organisation required an audit and database of its asset inventory prior to privatisation in the mid-1990s and continues to be used today by private UK rail operators including London & Continental Railways and GNER.
